The Art collection<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

The Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze owns an extremely valuable collection of works of art consisting of paintings by various artists ranging in date from the fourteenth to the twentieth century. The collection spans from gold-ground paintings \u2013 including two small tondi by Giotto and a panel painting by Beato Angelico \u2013 through to works by the Renaissance masters such as Filippino Lippi and Giorgio Vasari.<\/p>\n

There are also sixteenth and seventeenth-century paintings from various circles, including many Tuscan landscapes and Florentine views in particular, through to the subjects of the Macchiaioli and post-Macchiaioli paintings and examples of the vedute genre.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

With a view to the necessary and complete enhancement of its artistic heritage, the Ente CRF has launched a project devoted entirely to the conservation and enjoyment of its collection. This programme, in addition to comprising the registration of the entire collection, has also contributed to the creation of a database that can be consulted online on the R’Accolte website.<\/p>\n

The programme for enhancing the collection also comprises a permanent display of the most outstanding works which will be visible by appointment, as well as the revaluation of the premises of the Foundation in the very heart of the historic centre of Florence for temporary exhibitions and thematic shows on rotation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
